The PHOD retreat was held on Tuesday May 12 at the map room of the RSMAS Library.
There were four themes covered by presentations and discussions: Oceans and Climate (led by Molly Baringer), Oceans and Ecosystems (led by Sang-Ki Lee), Ocean Dynamics (led by Rick Lumpkin), and Oceans and Extreme Weather Events (led by Gregory Foltz and George Halliwell). The division is grateful for the time that the organizers, contributors, theme leaders, and participants took from their busy schedule to attend this retreat, which had the goal of enhancing AOML contribution to NOAA's goals.
